We are pleased to announce our new music curriculum called Rhythm and Notes with Music from The Music Class! Our goal is to provide not only a fun and educational music curriculum, but to enable parents and teachers to engage musically with their children throughout the week.

You’ll receive a new CD each semester,* and with it you’ll have immediate access to the music curriculum—along with a wonderful opportunity to make music with your child at home, in the car, or wherever you like!

PARENT PARTICIPATION IS KEY! 

Research has shown that the first few years of life are the crucial years for developing musical aptitude. A young child’s music environment has a huge influence on life-long potential for enjoying music and learning to play an instrument. Our Primrose teachers will play an important role by creating a nurturing musical environment during Rhythm and Notes music time at school, but school is only part of your child’s life. Your child will blossom musically by being immersed in music at home and at school.

ACCLAIMED SONG COLLECTIONS FROM THE MUSIC CLASS

Each semester’s CD will feature a new song collection. Whether it’s a Japanese folk song about flying kites, a Brazilian bossa nova, or the harmonies of a South African street chorus—the CDs contain an extensive sampling of the world’s music, all featuring authentic instrumentation. Add to that plenty of folk music, classical music, blues, jazz and original compositions, and you have an extraordinarily diverse musical collection. And as a bonus—not only do children love our music, but parents do too.

CDs will be given to each family at the start of each semester. Please listen to your CD with your child multiple times every week. The more your child listens, the more he or she will learn! *Infants receive one CD for the year. Young Toddlers and older receive a new CD every semester.
