Child’s Music and Movement Classes
The Music Class® (TMC) is an early childhood music education company designed to unleash the musical potential of young children. Featuring our award winning music, engaging activities, CDs, teacher training, and curricula, we are proud of the high standards we set in the field of early childhood music education.
While we take our goal of educating children very seriously, we know that the key to success lies in one word—fun! Everyone has a great time in class, and children love listening to our CDs over and over again at home. Because we know that it is essential for grownups to enjoy the songs as well, we make sure our music isn’t simplistic or babyish. Parents frequently tell us how much they enjoy the music.
Research shows that early childhood is the window of opportunity to increase the lifelong music aptitude of a child. TMC provides several programs that capitalize on this critical time period:
Music Pups® (birth - 5)
Designed to nurture the musical development of young children by motivating parents and caregivers to engage in musical activities with their child. Through teacher modeling, play, parent education, our acclaimed CDs, and the joy of our classes, Music Pups® provides a catalyst for parents to create a stimulating musical environment for their child.
Music Cats® (4 & 5)
The same fun spirit and activities as Music Pups, plus activities to challenge the listening and creative skills of 4 and 5 year-olds.
Sound Habits Keyboard Classes (5 – 7)
An introductory keyboard class in which aural skills are taught along with technical skills and students learn to play by ear before music notation is introduced. Children and their parents learn together in a fun group class of up to eight families.
Not all programs are offered in each teaching center.
